Science policy consulting at the ZBW
The developments associated with Open Science take place at many levels of the science system. As a Leibniz institution, it is a matter of concern for the ZBW to see its own experiences and research results inform the debate in science policy bodies at the national, European and international level.
At the national level these include the Alliance of German Science Organisations, decision-making bodies of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) or consulting bodies of the federal and state science ministries and the Federal Ministry of Economic affairs and Climate Action.
At the European Commission, this includes experts’ groups or partnerships between science institutions and the European Commission. The ZBW is active in the European Open Science Cloud Association and in the context of Cloud Association Council for National Open Science Coordination (CoNOSC).
At the international level, the focus is on supranational working groups and committees. With these diverse activities, the ZBW has established itself in recent years as a competent partner.
